This 3-1/2 minute video will explain how we have been so effective in food rescue since 1983. The Society of St. Andrew rescues healthy fruits and vegetables, delivering fresh produce to poor and hungry Americans through food pantries, food banks, churches, seniors facilities, Native American communities, and other agencies. Our three programs – the Gleaning Network, the Potato & Produce Project, and Harvest of Hope – rescue and deliver 25-30 pounds each year. We engage volunteers in more than 20 states. Check and see if we have gleanings near you, or use our materials to help you create your own food rescue and delivery.
