The Choose Food Symposium brings together celebrated food system leaders who will identify opportunities for ethical improvement of the food system, and offers a unique framework that set parameters for ethics in the production, marketing, and purchasing of food.
Our food loss and waste experts speaking at the Symposium include Nicole Civita and Jonathan Bloom. Nicole, who previously directed the Food Recovery Project at the University of Arkansas, is nationally recognized for her work on food waste. Jonathan wrote the book American Wasteland and runs the website Wasted Food.
The Choose Food Project is an initiative of the Global Food Ethics and Policy Program at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
