Feedback is an environmental organisation that campaigns to end food waste at every level of the food supply chain. Feeding the 5000 is our flagship campaigning event to shine a light on the global food waste scandal, champion the delicious solutions and catalyze the global movement.
‘Feeding the 5000’ is a celebratory event where a delicious communal feast is served for 5000 people made entirely out of food that would otherwise have been wasted. We bring together a coalition of organisations that offer the solutions to food waste, raising the issue up the political agenda and inspiring new local initiatives.
This toolkit is a guide to organizing your own Feeding the 5000. This document pools together the collective knowledge and experience of previous Feeding the 5000 event organizers to introduce you to everything you need to know about creating an event of your own. Feedback want to share our knowledge to help the food waste movement grow around the world.
